Advocates Call to Raise the Parole Age in Connecticut

Fred Hodges, Family Reentry’s Director of Community Relations and Enterprise House, spoke at the CT State Capitol in support of S.B. 503—a bill to raise the parole eligibility age to 26 for individuals serving long-term sentences.

He was joined by State Rep. Kadeem Roberts and Bridgeport Director of Labor & Personnel Eric Amado, who shared his personal connection through his father’s incarceration since age 23.

Together, they championed change for young people impacted by the justice system.
